Thales is recruiting a 2026 Hardware Engineering Apprentice to join its Crawley site on a Level 6 Electro-Mechanical Degree Apprenticeship. The role offers paid, permanent employment while you study towards a BEng in Electro-mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham.
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing and testing engineering solutions, attending project reviews, preparing specifications and test documentation, and supporting integration and validation activities.
The apprenticeship is delivered over five years via a blended learning model combining on-campus taught lectures (typically a minimum of 4 weeks per academic year in 1-week blocks), online learning and work-based learning. Tuition fees are fully covered and successful completion leads to an accredited BEng and a Level 6 apprenticeship qualification.
The role is full-time (37 hours per week) with flexible start times and offers a salary of £24,000 per annum together with standard employee benefits.
Key dates: the programme start date is 07 September 2026 (induction week 7-11 September 2026). Assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February and May 2026. Applications close at 11:59pm on 12 February 2026.
