Join Thales UK as a Project Planning and Controls Apprentice based in Manor Royal, Crawley. This two-year Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4 Project Manager Associate standard) combines on-the-job work in the Bid and Project Management function with virtual training delivered by The Apprentice Academy.

You will gain practical experience creating and maintaining integrated master schedules, contributing to project reports and reviews, assisting with risk and opportunity management, and supporting project governance and budget monitoring.

The programme includes live virtual workshops, 1-2-1 coaching and assessments alongside day-to-day work. Apprentices are expected to commit to all training and assessment elements, including assignments and exams.

The role starts on Monday 7 September 2026, is full-time (37 hours per week) and offers progression into Project Planner or Project Controller roles on successful completion and End Point Assessment.

Essential requirements include 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) and a Level 3 qualification (A-levels/Highers or equivalent). All applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK and will be required to obtain Government security clearance (BPSS and full SC) prior to starting.

£24,000 per year

Pay & Benefits

£24,000 a year. Yearly performance-related pay uplifts. Company benefits include 201 hours annual leave (plus a company day and bank holidays), company pension, Health Care Cash Plan, life insurance, employee discount portal and up to 80 hours volunteering in the first two years.
