Thales UK is recruiting a Project Planning and Controls Apprentice based at Ocean House, Throop Road, Templecombe (BA8 0DH). This is a hands-on, on-the-job apprenticeship within the Bid and Project Management function where you'll learn to create and maintain integrated master schedules, contribute to project reports, support risk and opportunity management, and help ensure effective project governance.
The role involves using Thales UK tools to manage schedules, budgets, risks and opportunities while attending virtual training modules, 1-2-1 coaching, assignments and exams.
The apprenticeship is a two-year Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) delivered with The Apprentice Academy Limited via a virtual delivery model and live workshops. The programme combines on-the-job training with professional study aimed at achieving the Associate Project Manager (Level 4) qualification.
The role is full-time (37 hours a week, Monday to Friday) and the expected start date for the cohort is 7 September 2026.
Applicants must meet the essential qualifications (5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4 and a Level 3 qualification) and satisfy strict security requirements. All successful candidates must have the permanent right to work in the UK and be able to obtain BPSS and full SC clearance (sole British National from birth and typically 5 years UK residence).
