2026! Volvo Trucks Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship

This is a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician apprenticeship with Volvo Truck & Bus based at 101 Lancaster Way Business Park, Ely (CB6 3NX). The programme combines on-the-job learning with block-release technical training to develop the skills needed to maintain, diagnose and repair modern trucks, buses and coaches to manufacturer and DVSA standards.

Day-to-day duties include assisting with repairs, fault diagnosis, fitting replacement parts, using Volvo special tools safely, completing job cards and complying with warranty and workshop procedures. Training is delivered in the workplace and via block release at Remit’s Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby, including 16 (page lists 16) 1-week blocks over the programme; the employer covers hotel, food and travel for block release.

Apprentices receive a dedicated Development Coach and gain IMI Heavy Vehicle Technician qualifications and functional skills where needed.
