2026! Volvo Trucks Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship

This is a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician apprenticeship with Volvo Truck & Bus based at Bryon Avenue, Felixstowe (IP11 3HZ). As an apprentice you will gain hands-on experience repairing, servicing, MOTing and maintaining trucks, buses and coaches (including hybrid technology) to manufacturer and DVSA standards.

The role is largely workplace-based (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:30-16:30) with block release to the training provider.

Training is delivered by REMIT Group Limited with block-release at Remit’s Automotive Academy in Derby (16 x 1-week blocks across the programme). The employer covers costs of hotel accommodation, food and travel for block release; there is no cost to the apprentice.

On completion you will achieve the IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification and, if required, Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.

Applicants must hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C. The apprenticeship starts in the May-August 2026 intake window (explicit start listed as Monday 4 May 2026). There are 2 positions available.
