2026! Volvo Trucks Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship

This is a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician apprenticeship with Volvo Truck & Bus based in Wilstead (Kenneth Way, MK45 3PD). The programme combines on-the-job training at the workplace with block release at REMIT's Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby, teaching maintenance, repair, MOT preparation and diagnostic skills to manufacturer and DVSA standards.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week), be provided with tools and PPE, and be mentored by experienced technicians. Training includes 18 block-release weeks across the 32-month programme (a mix of virtual and in-person delivery), IMI qualifications and the apprenticeship standard for Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.

Entry requires GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C. The employer covers the costs of accommodation, food and travel for block-release training. There is one position advertised; applications close 8 March 2026 and you apply via GOV.
