Dukes Plus’ Young Lawyer Summer Experience is an immersive legal summer programme delivered by InvestIN at UCL in London. It is designed for students who want firsthand insight into the legal profession, with hands-on simulations, career coaching, and direct exposure to practising lawyers.
Participants explore areas such as criminal justice, corporate law, human rights, family law, public law, international law, financial crime, and intellectual property. The experience includes mock trials, negotiations, case simulations, advocacy practice, and opportunities to shadow solicitors and barristers.
Students can also attend networking sessions, receive feedback from industry professionals, and build confidence in public speaking, analysis, and legal argumentation. A 2-week or 2-week Enhanced booking can lead to a Level 3 Award in Work Experience and Career Planning, worth 8 UCAS points.
The programme can be taken as a non-residential or residential experience, with accommodation on campus in central London and meals, pastoral care, and social activities included for residential students.

- Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
£2,290
£2,290 for the 1-week programme without accommodation. 2-week and 2-week Enhanced options are also available, with higher fees. Accommodation is optional; the page lists £3,865 with accommodation for the 1-week programme, and an early bird discount of 15% is available with code EARLY15. Residential students receive meals and travel throughout the programme, and optional airport transfers can be added at checkout.
