Want to see maths at the next level? Join Exeter Mathematics School Taster Day to explore sample lessons and workshops in Maths, Physics and Computer Science, meet staff and students, and discover residential life - boost your A-level choices and uni potential.

Exeter Mathematics School runs in-person Taster Days in the Autumn term for prospective A-level students. Taster Days give Year 11 students a chance to meet staff and current students, attend sample lessons and subject workshops, and experience the schools Maths, Physics and Computer Science activities.

Each Taster Day starts with a presentation from the Head followed by group lessons and an information session about the school's residential accommodation. Parents are welcome to join the Heads presentation and the Q&A session.

The page lists multiple Taster Day sessions in Autumn 2025 (morning and afternoon sessions), an Online Admissions Q&A on 11 November (18:00), and an Online Open Day aimed at Year 10 students on 4 June 2026 (17:00). Each Taster Day has the same content so applicants need only book one session.

Booking is via the online booking portal linked on the events page; a mailing list is available for notification of future events for other year groups. Short video introductions and student tours are provided on the page to give applicants a sense of life at EMS while they wait to attend an event.
