Want a taste of Oxford economics? Join a two week summer school on the University of Oxford campus to explore micro and macroeconomics in small tutorials, build analytical skills, connect with academics and boost your uni and career prospects.

This two-week summer programme, held on the University of Oxford campus, is designed for high school students aged 16 67 who want a rigorous introduction to both micro- and macro-economics. Students explore markets, competition, business performance, global trade, government policy, inequality and sustainability in small seminar groups and through guided discussions.

Teaching mirrors Oxford's tutorial model: classes are delivered in small seminars (no more than eight students), with two independent assignments (essays or problem sheets) discussed in 1:1 or 2:1 tutorials. The course includes seminar discussions, Q&A sessions, guest speakers, college visits, an academic skills masterclass and a university fair.

Every student receives a certificate of achievement, detailed tutor feedback and a personalised letter of recommendation on completion.

Students are housed at Somerville College in single bedrooms (shared bathrooms), with bed linen and towels provided. Meals are half-board (breakfast and dinner provided; students purchase lunch). The programme includes a range of UK excursions and scheduled Heathrow airport transfers (staff welcome students at designated points between 09:00 and 16:00).

Multiple pricing tiers and session dates are available for Summer 2026.
