Foundation of Light Work Experience at the Beacon of Light

Foundation of Light offers work experience for Year 10 students at the Beacon of Light, giving young people the chance to spend time alongside full-time staff during school holiday periods throughout the year. The placement is designed to introduce students to a real working environment and show how a charity-led sports setting operates day to day.

During the experience, students may observe staff, assist with activities, and help deliver sessions where appropriate. The placement offers an insight into what it is like to be a sports coach and to support football-based community work in practice.

Because the opportunity is offered during school holidays, it may suit students whose schools are flexible about replacing their usual work experience week. Places are limited, and applicants are asked to register their interest through the online form and submit a CV as part of the process.
