Oxford Psychology Summer School 2026: Ages 16-18

The Oxford Experimental Psychology Summer School (ages 16-18) is a two-week residential programme held at Queen's College, University of Oxford. Students explore experimental psychology through hands-on research, experimental design and case studies, learning how theory applies to real-world scenarios such as education, health and everyday behaviour.

The course covers topics including the brain, cognition, human interaction and the psychology behind belief in misinformation, with attention to research ethics. Participants conduct their own investigations, producing both a written research report and a presentation on a chosen topic, and engage in thought-provoking discussions that develop critical evaluation skills.

Teaching is delivered by subject experts and includes guided workshops, lectures and collaborative learning designed to strengthen academic skills in preparation for higher education. The programme is residential: accommodation, meals, tuition and cultural programmes are included.

Students take part in campus activities and excursions, attend a graduation ceremony where they receive a certificate, and benefit from a supervised campus environment with 24-hour staff presence and set check-in and curfew procedures.
