Oxford Royale’s Architecture & Design summer school in Cambridge is a two-week programme for 16–18 year olds who want to explore how creativity, history and innovation shape the built world. Students take part in hands-on model-making, technical drawing, site analysis and design challenges, building practical skills, creative confidence and critical thinking through a series of engaging academic activities.
The course includes group projects, workshops, masterclasses, seminars, debates and guest speakers, alongside a project that asks students to design a house and studio for a violin maker. Based in Cambridge, the programme gives students an immersive university experience with social activities, walking tours, punting, museum visits and an optional London excursion.
Residential students also benefit from college accommodation and meals, and participants can graduate with an Oxford Royale certificate of completion.
