The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) Trainee Development Programme (TDP) is a full-time, salaried school-leaver programme designed to develop regulatory professionals and lead to a permanent Analyst role on successful completion. The four-year programme combines hands-on regulatory work across the Commission with fully funded academic study: trainees will study for a BSc in Applied Finance at the University of Exeter while working day-to-day in the Commission.
Trainees will rotate across two of the Commissions Divisions (for example Banking & Insurance, Financial Crime, Enforcement, Authorisations & Innovation, Investment, Fiduciary & Pension, or Risk & Operations). Typical tasks include research, report writing, supporting reviews and on-site visits, and contributing to regulatory decision-making.
The programme includes structured mentoring, professional development and external courses to build analytical, communication and workplace skills. The programme is open to school leavers with A Levels or equivalent (any subject).
Entry requirements include a minimum of B,B,B in top three A Level subjects and at least Grade 5-6 in GCSE Mathematics and English. Applicants should note the Commission cannot provide visa sponsorship for these trainee development roles.
