Fancy leading a community green project? Join Hillfields as a Volunteer Garden Leader — run practical sessions, teach planting and pruning, build hands-on skills, meet locals and boost your CV while creating an edible community garden every Saturday.

Hillfields Community Garden is looking for Volunteer Garden Leaders to help run their regular Volunteer Saturday group. The role involves delivering enjoyable, practical activities for local residents such as planting, sowing seeds, weeding, pruning and other seasonal tasks to help grow a usable and edible garden.

Leaders will support community members, encourage participation, and help create a welcoming community atmosphere. This is a recurring, in-person volunteering role based at Hillfields Community Garden (Hillfields Park, Hillfields, BS16 4EH).

Time commitment is one Saturday per month, with sessions from 10:00 to 14:00 (group runs 11:00-14:00). For questions or to apply, the listing provides a contact (Sophie Walker) and an online application form.

The role supports community connection, reduces isolation and raises awareness of the benefits of being in nature.
