Apply NowFancy turning your love of books and music into real experience? Join Oxfam Westbury on Trym as a Books & Music volunteer — sort, research, price and display donations, build retail skills, meet the team and get training to boost your CV.
Join the Oxfam community as a Books and Music Shop Volunteer at the Westbury on Trym shop. Volunteers help make the most of donated books, DVDs, CDs and vinyl by sorting, researching, pricing and creating attractive displays.
Roles can be behind-the-scenes or customer-facing on the shop floor, and volunteers are encouraged to focus on areas they enjoy or try a variety of tasks. Oxfam provides full training and support, so no previous retail experience is necessary.
Volunteering is flexible to suit your availability and can help you develop skills in customer service, administration, merchandising and teamwork while boosting your confidence. Some lunch and travel costs can be provided or reimbursed.
After you apply the manager will invite you for an initial informal chat (not an interview) to discuss your interests and match you with suitable tasks. If you cannot apply online, visit the shop or contact them during shop hours to enquire.
Lunch and travel costs can be provided/reimbursed (details available from the shop).
