As a Quality Inspector Apprentice at Schneider Electric you will control incoming products using a range of inspection techniques, carry out sample inspections of new parts and inspect problematic components that cause manufacturing issues. The role focuses on manufacturing and assembling electrical distribution and control equipment and requires accurate inspection and reporting to maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
This apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning at Schneider Electric (approximately 37 hours 30 minutes per week) with off-the-job training delivered by Heart of Yorkshire Education Group. You will study the Engineering Manufacturing Technician (Level 4) standard, spend at least 20% of your working hours on protected off-the-job training, and learn skills such as metrology, use of CMM/VMM programming, root cause analysis, lean techniques (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen), CAD and data analysis.
The apprenticeship starts on 7 September 2026 and runs for 4 years. There is one position available based at Schneider Electric, 123 Jack Lane, Hunslet, Leeds LS10 1BA. Applicants must meet the essential qualification requirements and have the permanent right to work in the UK.
After completion there may be opportunities to move into a permanent position.
