The Wadham Symposium 2026 is a one-day, cross-college and cross-disciplinary symposium at Wadham College on the theme of FORCE. The programme for Saturday 7 February 2026 will explore multiple senses of force - from physical forces of nature to institutional and social forces - and will examine how force shapes power, momentum, resistance, habit, and legitimacy.
Presentations will be given by students, fellows, staff, and professors, and the day includes formal sessions alongside informal opportunities for discussion over coffee, lunch and dinner. The event aims to foster vibrant intellectual exchange across disciplines and provide space for debate and reflection within the college community.
Those wishing to attend are asked to register via the Microsoft Forms link or contact one of the conveners (Norman Aselmeyer, Marko Ilić, Catriona Parry, Yevhen Yashchuk) for registration details.
