The Old Barn Day Nursery is recruiting an Early Years Apprentice to join their team and support the care, development and learning of children in the nursery. Apprentices will work as part of the staff team to promote positive relationships, support children’s health, safety and well-being, and help provide a high-quality, stimulating learning environment.
Responsibilities include supporting key persons with group and individual work, contributing to teamwork, and following safeguarding procedures. On-the-job training is provided by the employer and the dedicated training provider Realise.
Apprentices will complete 20% off-the-job learning as part of their working day and work towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator and a paediatric first aid qualification. Functional Skills in maths and English (Level 2) will be provided if required.
Practical details: the role is 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with shifts agreed at offer stage.
