AndAlso Improv runs in-person improv classes for teens in Brighton, offering a supportive, playful space for 14-18 year olds to explore improvised comedy and theatre. Sessions focus on presence, collaboration and creativity rather than performance pressure, and welcome young people from across Brighton and Sussex.
Classes run in six-week blocks of weekly, ninety-minute sessions with a maximum of 20 participants to ensure individual attention. Activities include improv games, exercises and short scenes that build confidence, active listening, quick thinking and public speaking.
No prior experience is required and participants can choose to book a single drop-in session to try a class before committing. The programme emphasises transferable skills useful for university applications and personal statements - confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership.
Neurodivergent students are supported and can share accommodation needs on the booking form or by emailing hello@andalsoimprov. com for confidential arrangements.
