Bradley Thomas MP is offering one-week summer work experience placements giving students the chance to experience working for a Member of Parliament. Successful applicants will spend time in Parliament and in the constituency office, develop skills such as strategic thinking, research, presentation design, media creation, and will participate in activities including mock UN-style debates, analysing legislation, chamber viewing and responding to mock casework.
Participants will have meetings with Bradley Thomas and will undertake a variety of daily tasks such as preparing presentations, creating mock media content, and supporting research and policy exercises. The placements run Monday to Friday and include both London-based days (MondayThursday) and constituency-based work on Fridays for certain weeks.
Applicants must be aged 16 or over and either live in the constituency or attend a local school/sixth form/college. Applicants are responsible for their own transport and accommodation costs as the office cannot provide financial support.
Successful applicants will be subject to security checks; places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
