Degree Civil Engineering Apprentice - VINCI Building - North West

VINCI Building is recruiting a Degree Civil Engineering Apprentice to join its construction site teams in the North West. The role combines on-the-job learning on construction projects across healthcare, education and commercial sectors with day-release study at Liverpool John Moores University to gain a Level 6 BSc in Civil Engineering.

Typical duties include applying engineering principles, setting out, temporary works, quality control, health & safety compliance, planning and commercial awareness on site. The apprenticeship is based on-site in Widnes (Ditton Road, WA8 0PG) and is a five-year programme starting 1 September 2026.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours per week). VINCI offers a salary of £22,600 per year, pension contributions, paid volunteering days, holiday entitlement and training support, alongside mentor support and networks for early careers.

Applicants must meet the essential entry qualifications (A level/BTEC or equivalent as listed) and be able to attend site (PPE required). The training provider is Liverpool John Moores University and the programme is designed to develop technical, project management and professional competencies leading to further career progression within the business.
