This is a short online course in light-weight card game design run by The £2 Tuition Hub. The course focuses on tight rules, balance and clear decision-making in small-deck games, with practical work on mechanics such as drafting, set collection, bluffing and quickfire strategy.
Students prototype, playtest and refine designs, receiving structured feedback to turn rough ideas into playable games. The course runs as five sessions (live or recorded) at 10:00am, starting on 27 February 2026.
Live sessions are delivered via Zoom; recordings are uploaded to participants' dashboards within 24 hours for later viewing. There are no prerequisites and lessons in the series are linked but not required to be taken in order.
Practical materials needed include pencil and paper, scissors and basic board game components. Parents and guardians are directed to the hub dashboard for recordings and resources; a cancellation/change link is provided in Zoom confirmation emails.
