University of Sussex Undergraduate Open Days are on-campus events for prospective undergraduate students to explore courses, facilities and student life. Visitors can meet academics to learn about course content, hear from current students, and attend sessions from Admissions, Student Advice, Disability Advice and Guidance, Housing, Student Funding, Study Abroad and Placements, and Careers and Entrepreneurship.
Attendees can join campus tours, view student accommodation, and attend multiple 40-minute talks throughout the day. There is a dedicated session for mature students and student ambassadors are available to help on campus.
Open Days run from 9:30am to 4:30pm and a programme of the day's events is sent to registrants in advance to help plan which sessions to attend. Travel information and support is provided: travel help payments (between £25 and £75 depending on location) are available to eligible visitors and a limited number of parking permits can be requested when booking.
The University encourages use of public transport and will plant a tree for students who travel to the Autumn Open Days in 2025 by public transport.
