University of Essex June Open Day

Join the University of Essex for an on-campus Open Day at the Colchester Campus. The event is designed for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and their families and runs on Saturday 20 June 2026 from 09:00 to 16:00.

Visitors can tour the campus and accommodation, meet academic staff and student ambassadors, and get an overview of university life and facilities, including the Students' Union and clubs and societies. Attendees can book taster talks and practical workshops to see what lectures are like, take part in interactive faculty activities, and get advice on applications, entry requirements, funding and student support.

The University will provide free visitor parking for the Open Day and run a free shuttle bus between Colchester North (main) Station and the campus (buses every 30 minutes; first departure 08:30, last return bus 16:10). A travel bursary of up to £75 is available to help with travel costs; claims can be made after checking in on the day.

Registration is required via the University of Essex online booking form. Discounted on-campus accommodation is available for visitors using code 'VIP' for the night before or of the Open Day. For enquiries contact the Open Days team at opendays@essex.
