Fancy turning nature into sound and something you made? Join Power Up's summer workshop to explore music, rhythm and garden-inspired crafts, build new creative skills, boost wellbeing and meet other young people in a hands-on, supportive space.
Power Up is hosting a summer programme of creative workshops for young people aged 10-25 from Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. This session brings together music, rhythm and nature-inspired making in a friendly, hands-on environment designed to help participants feel well, try something new and enjoy time with other young people.
The workshop includes nature-inspired arts and crafts, interactive rhythm activities using percussion, and immersive sound experiences connected to the gardens and surrounding natural environment. Participants can make take-home items such as a handmade instrument, join a community rhythm circle, or simply explore unique soundscapes using specialist equipment.
No musical experience is needed, and the event is in-person at Railway Gardens in Splott, Cardiff. It is one event in a five-week series, so anyone who wants to attend weekly will need to book each session separately.
Support with finance and arranging transport can be discussed.
