Fancy making a Mughal-inspired jewellery box? Join this hands-on workshop at MIAH in Birmingham: learn about Mughal floral motifs, build raised relief flowers, add colour and finish a unique, museum-ready keepsake while boosting your creative portfolio.

Join this creative in-person workshop inspired by the floral traditions of Mughal art. Participants are introduced to Mughal decorative motifs and the role of flowers in jewellery, textiles, manuscripts, architecture and other decorative objects, before moving on to make their own artwork.

During the session, you will decorate a jewellery box using Mughal-inspired floral designs. The activity includes creating raised relief flowers to produce a three-dimensional effect, then adding colour and detail with acrylic paints.

The finished piece is a practical item to take home. The workshop is designed as a fun, relaxing creative activity for adults and young people aged 14 and over. It takes place at MIAH Gallery in Birmingham, and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult who remains in the building throughout the session.
