The Talent Foundry is a dedicated mentoring and networking feature within Microelectronics UK 2026, designed to help students and early-career engineers explore how to break into the microelectronics sector. It uses a small-group roundtable format rather than a lecture or panel, so attendees can ask direct questions and have real conversations with experienced professionals from across the industry.
Across the morning, participants rotate through three focused sessions with different mentors and specialisms. The sessions are aimed at people studying electronics, electrical engineering, photonics, computer science, or related subjects, as well as those in the first few years of their careers.
It is intended to give practical insight into routes into semiconductors, embedded systems and other areas of the sector, while helping attendees understand which skills are most in demand. The Talent Foundry also sits alongside the wider exhibition, so participants can make the most of the full show experience.
Student tickets are free, and access includes the exhibition floor, networking opportunities, and the conference stages as part of the wider Microelectronics UK event.
Student tickets to Microelectronics UK 2026 are free and include access to the show floor, networking, all four stages, and the Talent Foundry sessions on Day 2.
