Want hands-on experience in sustainability and social justice? Join a flexible summer internship at the Green Economics Institute — help run events, shape projects and build practical strategy, research and communications skills tailored to your strengths while gaining real charity-sector experience to boost your next steps.

The Green Economics Institute and Green Economics Organisation offers a flexible summer internship programme for people interested in sustainability, environmental action, social justice, and the work of a charitable organisation. Interns become part of the summer events cycle, helping with ongoing activity, longer-term projects, and the day-to-day running of the organisation behind the scenes.

The programme is tailored to each intern’s skills and interests. Possible work includes strategy writing, social media, design and artwork, educational workshops, conferences, exhibition stands, publishing books and magazines, and supporting climate, biodiversity, green tech, health, law, and charity-management work.

Interns may focus on one larger project or a portfolio of smaller tasks. The internship is flexible and can be in person, online, or mixed, with part-time or full-time participation available. The organisation does not pay interns, but participants can attend the events they help organise for free.

Student membership is required, and certificates, references, and accreditations may be arranged separately.
