The Global Law Masterclass is an immersive introduction to the study and practice of law for aspiring lawyers. It explores the core principles, institutions, and debates that shape modern legal systems, helping students understand how legal rules translate into real-world decisions and how lawyers and judges approach complex problems.
Across the programme, students examine contract, tort, criminal, constitutional and public law, land, equity and trusts, human rights, and international law. Sessions use landmark cases, comparative examples, contemporary issues, debates, and practical legal problems to develop a deeper understanding of law as an academic discipline.
The course is highly interactive and is delivered live online in small groups. Students analyse cases, debate arguments, take part in Q&A, work through practical legal problems, and complete advocacy and mooting exercises.
It is designed for Year 11-13 students interested in law, politics, international affairs, or the wider legal system, and includes feedback on CV and LinkedIn profiles plus a digital certificate on completion.
