AAT Accountant Assistant Apprentice (Apprenticeship)

This is an Assistant Accountant Level 3 apprenticeship where you will work on live client projects and complete bookkeeping and general accounting tasks alongside the projects team. Day-to-day duties include preparing financial information, handling client support queries face-to-face, by video call, phone and email, and delivering systems integrations using software such as Unleashed, Xero and A2X.

The apprenticeship includes the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and covers units such as Financial Accounting (Preparing Financial Statements), Management Accounting Techniques, Tax Processes for Business and Business Awareness. You will be required to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) including a synoptic assessment and a portfolio.

Training will be delivered via face-to-face classroom lessons or live online, with time allocated for off-the-job training and development of required knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Entry requirements include GCSE maths and English (A-C / 9-4) and AAT Level 2 or A-Level Accounting. The role emphasises practical IT skills (competence with Microsoft packages and ability to learn systems), organisation, attention to detail and resilience.
