Broadening Horizons is a two-week residential Oxford summer programme for curious students aged 16-18. Each participant chooses two academic subjects and one Power Skills workshop, building a personalised combination from a large menu of options across the arts, humanities, sciences, business, languages and more.
The programme is designed for students who want to explore more than one interest, test possible university directions, or try a subject they have not studied before. Teaching is university-style and interactive, with discussion, challenge, debate and practical work woven into the academic sessions.
Alongside the learning, students live in Oxford and take part in a full residential experience that includes college dinners, guest speakers, tours and social activities. The aim is to leave students with broader knowledge, stronger confidence, practical skills and a clearer sense of where their interests might lead.
