Support environmental services through public phone enquiries, payment processing for bin sales and bulky item collections, plus purchase orders, invoices and spreadsheet data entry. You’ll also see how public-facing teams manage day-to-day queries.

This placement gives you hands-on experience of administrative support within environmental services. You may handle telephone enquiries from the public, process payments for bin sales and bulky item collections, work with purchase orders and invoices, and carry out data entry using spreadsheets and in-house systems.

It is also a chance to support senior managers and see how public-facing service teams manage day-to-day queries. The role is well suited to someone who is organised, comfortable communicating with people, and interested in office-based public service work.
