Join Airbus in Filton on a fully funded 4+ year Degree Apprenticeship to earn a BEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering while working on real aircraft programmes - paid from day one with academic study, rotations and strong career progression.
Start date September 2026. This four-year and three-month Airbus Degree Apprenticeship is based at Filton, Bristol and delivered in partnership with Weston College and the University of the West of England.
Apprentices undertake a nine-month vocational foundation diploma followed by on-the-job placements within Airbus Commercial Aircraft programmes, working in departments such as Wing Structures, Landing Gear, Fuel & Inerting Systems, Flight Physics and Testing.
The programme combines full-time paid employment (salary provided), academic study leading to a BEng (Hons) in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, and additional vocational diplomas. Apprentices rotate across engineering functions to build technical, project management and leadership skills and may gain exposure to digital topics (coding, AI, data analytics), materials and testing, certification, and ground and flight test activities.
Applicants must meet specified academic entry requirements (UCAS points/A-levels or approved vocational equivalents), be able to gain required security checks, and have the right to work in the UK for the full duration. - Minimum 112 UCAS points (e.g., 3 A Levels BBC) including Maths at grade B and Physics or Chemistry at grade C
- Alternatives accepted: relevant BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM) or specific BTEC Diplomas, or T Levels (minimum Merit overall)
- GCSE Maths and English (Language and Literature) minimum Grade 5 / B
- Submit CV stating grades (predicted or achieved) and a cover letter explaining motivation and suitability
- Eligibility to gain UK SC security clearance or be subject to a BPSS check (including criminal record check)
- Must have current legal authorisation/right to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme
- Must be eligible for levy funding; roles do not meet requirements for UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship
£21,674 per year
