Ahista Stories Live: Fashion Illustration - Art of Slow Fashion

This beginner-friendly workshop explores the role of fashion illustration in shaping more sustainable design practices. Participants will look at how sketching, sampling and trend cycles can create waste long before a garment is made, shifting the focus upstream to the design process rather than only to consumption.

The session is led by facilitator Limma Ali, who brings experience from luxury fashion and the art world, alongside her work on Ataro Jewellery. The workshop is part of Ahista Stories Live, a South Asian sustainable fashion festival that connects fashion, labour rights and climate justice.

It is designed for people aged 16+ who want an accessible introduction to slow fashion ideas, with a practical and creative lens on how the industry can change.
