Aimhigher London and St Mary's University Twickenham are running an in-person Get Ready for Success session focused on wellbeing, inclusion and disability support at university. The day is designed to help prospective university students with additional needs understand the support available, how to disclose a disability, and how to access Disabled Students Allowance.
Activities include interactive sessions and demonstrations of assistive technology. The event features a campus tour that highlights accessibility, conversations with Student Ambassadors from Aimhigher London partner universities sharing lived experience, and practical information on applying for additional support.
Attendees can come individually or with a parent, teacher or friend; school groups are explicitly welcomed. This session is intended for Year 12 and Year 13 learners who are neurodiverse or have a disability and their parents/carers.
It is an introductory, supportive session to equip attendees with knowledge and confidence to prepare for a positive university experience.
