A legal graduate recruiter leads an online workshop on showing proactivity in law applications. Explore what firms look for, build initiative and practise using real-world scenarios to back up your experience with evidence.

Taking flight: Proactivity and initiative is an online workshop on AllAboutLaw’s Digital Campus designed to help aspiring lawyers build the skills that law firms look for in applicants. The session focuses on why proactivity and initiative matter in recruitment and how to show those qualities through practical exercises and real-world scenarios.

The workshop is part of a wider four-part skills series linked to Bird & Bird, and it is aimed at people preparing for legal career pathways such as solicitor apprenticeships, vacation schemes and training contracts. It explores themes including developing initiative, demonstrating it in recruitment, and understanding how to strengthen applications with evidence from your own experience.

The session is delivered by a legal graduate recruiter, giving participants direct insight into what stands out in a competitive application process.
