Pages Between Us is a pilot intergenerational project by Alzheimer’s Society South East that brings young people together with older adults living with dementia. The aim is to build understanding of dementia through shared stories, creativity and conversation, while helping participants see the value of memory, imagination and human connection.
Across eight weekly sessions, participants explore creative themes such as Life Maps, Recipe for a Memory and Letter to a Stranger. The project focuses on forming a meaningful one-to-one connection between generations and creating a supportive space where stories, laughter and reflection can come together.
It is designed for curious, open-minded young people who want to make a positive difference and learn from older adults as storytellers, teachers and friends. The experience ends with a final reflection event showcasing shared stories and creations.
Sessions run weekly
Volunteering is free to take part in.
