Want to level up your summer? Join Anglia Ruskin’s free residential summer school to explore Creative Industries, Business & Law or Medicine, stay on campus, build subject skills, meet peers and get a boost for university applications and future plans.

Amplify Your Summer is a free residential summer school run by Anglia Ruskin University for Year 12 (A Level) students. The programme offers subject-specific residential experiences at ARU’s Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses where participants stay in campus accommodation and take part in academic workshops, practical activities and social events.

Available strands include Creative Industries (theatre and character design), Business & Law (Driving EDI Transformation) and a Medicine Summer School with activities led by Medical School academics.

Students will work on group projects, produce performances or practical portfolios, and in the Medicine programme undertake activities such as Medicine mock interviews (MMIs), hospital visits, subject-focused projects and mentoring by current students. The programmes are designed to give a realistic experience of student life, insight into subject-specific study and opportunities to develop skills relevant to higher education progression.

To apply, applicants must complete an online application form, select their programme, submit a 500-word supporting statement and provide a reference from a teacher or tutor. Places are limited and priority is given to applicants from under-represented or disadvantaged backgrounds.

Applications will be opening soon; successful applicants will hear by June 2026.
