Animationclub School - Introduction to Visual Development in Animation (Free workshop)

This is a free, self-paced introductory workshop that teaches the process of designing a stylized cartoon character for 2D animation. The course comprises two short lessons ("Ape Warrior: Exploring the process of creating a Character Design for 2D Animation" and "What's it like to be a Designer in the Animation Industry"), delivered as a recorded lecture with homework and feedback.

The workshop duration is about 45 minutes and can be started at any time. The workshop is aimed at beginning artists and designers who want to learn the basics of visual development, as well as professionals looking to refresh or expand character and environment design skills.

The mentor for the workshop is Maor Sharvit (10 years of industry experience). Training is delivered online (recorded lectures, Zoom for classes, Discord for groups). Recommended tools mentioned include Adobe Photoshop and a drawing tablet.
