Fancy bringing your drawings to life? Join Animationclub School's free, self-paced 32-minute intro to traditional 2D animation - explore tools, learn core principles, and build a short animated character to boost your portfolio and skills.

This free, self-paced introduction to traditional 2D animation is a short beginner tutorial from Animationclub School designed to spark interest in hand-drawn character animation. The course is delivered as pre-recorded lectures so learners can start at any time and study at their own pace.

Total run time for the workshop is approximately 32 minutes.

Learners will be introduced to the essential tools and basic principles of 2D animation and will complete exercises to create a simple animated character (example exercises include animating a jumping cup and adding emotion/visual effects). The course lists commonly used software (TVPaint, Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Clip Studio Paint) and recommends a drawing tablet for practical work.

Mentor: Edward Kurchevsky, an experienced 2D animator and director.
