This is a Level 2 Accounting/Finance apprenticeship based in Folkestone that combines on-the-job experience with formal training. As an Apprentice Accountant Assistant you will support the finance team by updating and reconciling nominal ledgers, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, dealing with bank postings and bank reconciliation, and assisting with cash flow reporting and nominal code maintenance.

You will spend most of your time working in the employer's finance department (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm; 37 hours 30 minutes per week) and attend one day a week of formal training with The Training Place of Excellence. Training outcomes include AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate, Level 2 NVQ and the Accounting/Finance Apprenticeship Level 2 qualification.

Apprentices without Level 1 English and maths will need to achieve these prior to their end point assessment.

The apprenticeship offers a first-year wage of £14,722.50 and a start date of Monday 15 December 2025. Positions available: 2. The role is based at Unit 1, Park Farm Road, Park Farm Industrial Estate, Folkestone, CT19 5EY.
