This is a paid Level 2 accounting apprenticeship for an Apprentice Accountant Assistant based in London. The role involves hands-on finance and accounting tasks such as updating and reconciling nominal ledgers, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, dealing with bank postings and bank reconciliation, and setting up/updating cash flow reports.
Most of the apprenticeship is workplace-based, giving on-the-job experience alongside formal training.
Apprentices will attend one day a week of classroom training provided by THE TRAINING PLACE OF EXCELLENCE LIMITED (The Training Place of Excellence, 12 New Cross Road, SE14 5BE) and will work at 1 Market Street, London, SE18 6FU. The programme starts on 25 January 2026, runs for 1 year 3 months, and includes study to gain AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate, a Level 2 NVQ and the Accounting/Finance Apprenticeship Level 2 qualification.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (38 hours/week).
Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English (grades 5-9). After completing this apprenticeship, learners may progress to AAT Level 3 or be considered for full-time employment with the right candidate. Two positions are advertised.
