Apprentice Accountant - Gascoynes Ltd

Join Gascoynes as an Apprentice Accountant working from Gascoyne House, Fornham All Saints, Bury St. Edmunds. You will be part of the accounts team, working on clients' compliance work including accounts preparation, tax calculations, reconciliations and management reporting.

The role involves day-to-day accounting duties such as preparing year-end accounts, reconciling balance sheet accounts and assisting client managers with ledger work.

This is a Level 3 apprenticeship delivered with training from First Intuition Chelmsford. You will attend weekday courses (typically one day per week) at your nearest First Intuition centre while receiving on-the-job training and mentoring.

The apprenticeship includes full support with study costs towards the AAT Level 3 Accounts Assistant qualification, and progression opportunities to AAT Level 4 and/or ACCA/ICAEW pathways after completion.

Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (37 hours 30 minutes per week) with some overtime in busier periods. The apprenticeship is due to start on 3 August 2026. Applicants should be school/college leavers who meet the GCSE entry requirements and be able to travel to required training locations.
