This Level 3 IT apprenticeship offers hands-on, on-the-job training supporting end users and maintaining day-to-day IT operations at Churchill Contract Services. You'll be the first point of contact for IT support (phone, email and ticketing), log and prioritise requests, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues, assist with device setup, perform routine maintenance (password resets, account management) and escalate complex problems appropriately.
The apprenticeship combines workplace learning with formal training through QA Limited, working towards the Information Communications Technician (Level 3) qualification and industry-relevant certifications (including Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals). Typical weekly hours are 37 hours 30 minutes (75 hours over a 2-week, 9-day rota) with working times generally between 08:00 and 17:30.
The role is based at The Exchange, Suite B Maingate, Kingsway North, Gateshead (NE11 0BE) and starts on 1 December 2025.
Applicants must hold the stated GCSEs (3 subjects at grade 4+, and Maths & English at grade 3+). The apprenticeship is aimed at people starting a career in IT and includes training on Windows, Linux, PowerShell, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, with opportunities to progress into permanent roles after completion.
