Apprentice Dental Nurse - Bell Barn Dental Practice

This is an 18-month, government-funded Level 3 apprenticeship in dental nursing at Bell Barn Dental Practice in Chippenham. As an apprentice you will work on the practice floor, providing chair-side support to clinicians, preparing and sterilising equipment, assisting with patient care and reception duties such as booking appointments, taking payments and handling patient enquiries.

The role combines hands-on clinical duties with professional responsibilities around patient records, infection control and team working.

Training is delivered by TEMP DENT DENTAL AGENCY LIMITED and includes blended interactive e-learning and specialist training time away from the practice. On successful completion you will receive a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 (GDC approved) and, if needed, Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths.

The apprenticeship covers clinical skills, radiography processing, patient communication, safeguarding, medical emergency management and professional standards required for dental practice.

Requirements include GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 (desirable), Hepatitis B immunisation and a successful DBS check. The role is full-time (minimum 39 to maximum 43 hours per week) and based at the practice in Chippenham (Middlefield Road, SN14 6GT).
