Apprentice Dental Nurse

This is an 18-month (1 year 6 months) paid apprenticeship working as an Apprentice Dental Nurse at Damira Dental Studios in Headington, Oxford. The role involves chair-side support to clinicians, sterilising equipment, reception duties, answering phones, taking payments and booking appointments.

Shifts vary Monday to Friday (8:00-20:00 Monday-Thursday; 8:00-18:00 Friday) with occasional Saturday openings; the role is full-time (40 hours/week).

Training is provided by TEMP DENT DENTAL AGENCY LIMITED and combines on-the-job learning with off-the-job specialist training delivered as blended e-learning. On successful completion apprentices receive a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.

The apprenticeship covers clinical skills (chair-side support, radiographs, infection control), patient communication, safeguarding, record keeping, and professional practice. Functional Skills English and maths Level 2 will be required unless already exempt.

Wages are stated as £15,704 to £25,396.80 depending on age. Applicants should be prepared to undergo Hepatitis B immunisation and an enhanced DBS check. The role is based at 207 London Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 9JA, and is with an employer operating multiple practices across the UK.
