This is a Level 3 Traffic Transformer apprenticeship with Yunex Traffic based in Swanwick. The role is a field-based engineering apprenticeship where most time is spent working on real projects, installing, maintaining and diagnosing faults on traffic signal assets and other highways systems.

You will carry out installation and remedial works, use hand and power tools, record and report detailed fault information and work to contract specifications and safety procedures. The apprenticeship lasts four years with training provided by South Hampshire College Group leading to an Engineering Fitter (Level 3) qualification.

Training will include a mix of on-the-job learning, formal sessions and self-study, covering technical skills such as reading drawings, measuring and testing components, problem solving and industry-specific safety and sector scheme requirements. The position is based at Unit 1c, Barley House Business Park, Duncan Road, Swanwick SO31 1ZT.
