Yunex Traffic's Apprentice Field Services Engineer role is a Level 3 apprenticeship delivered over a four-year period. Apprentices will work on real projects across the business, combining on-the-job experience with college-based learning and structured training.
The role involves installation, maintenance and fault diagnosis for traffic signal assets and other highways systems and requires adherence to safety procedures and contract specifications.
Apprentices will receive a technical and occupational qualification while earning a salary of A316,000 per year and gaining exposure to a range of tasks including reactive and proactive maintenance, use of hand and power tools, working at height, producing detailed clearance notes via fault management systems, and completing mandatory product and sector training. Training is a mixture of formal, peer-to-peer, on-the-job and self-learning, and apprentices are expected to meet relevant Highway Electrical Registrations Scheme (HERS) requirements as part of the programme.
Locations for this role include Poole (Dorset) and Avonmouth (Bristol). Applicants must meet the minimum GCSE requirements (including Maths and English), be willing to travel to training sites and their college, and have the Right to Work in the UK.
The apprenticeship cohort will join the business on 1 September 2026.
