Taylor Wimpey is recruiting an Apprentice Painter & decorator to join their Stockton on Tees team. The role involves internal and external decoration of new build homes, including primary and final finishes for rooms, doors, staircases, garage and front doors, and undertaking repairs.

Day-to-day duties include surface preparation, paint mixing and application, gloss work, wallcoverings, minor repairs and clearing and cleaning up after jobs.

This is a 2-year apprenticeship starting Monday 5 January 2026 based at Coatham Gardens, Stockton On Tees (TS16 0RW). Working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00-15:30 (39 hours per week).

Training is provided one day a week at Stockton Riverside College through THE EDUCATION TRAINING COLLECTIVE and includes functional skills in maths and English if required.

The apprenticeship offers a first-year wage of £15,311. 40 (may increase with age) and follows National Minimum Wage rules for apprentices. Successful completion may lead to a full-time position with Taylor Wimpey.

Applicants should hold or be working towards GCSEs in English and maths (A*-C / 9-4) and demonstrate good communication, teamworking and health & safety awareness.
