Chilwell Valley & Meadows Practice are recruiting an Apprentice GP Receptionist based at their Beeston site (81 Bramcote Lane, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 4ET). This role is an on-the-job apprenticeship where you will be a first point of contact for patients, working within a two-site GP practice and as part of the Nottingham West Primary Care Network.

Day-to-day duties include taking telephone calls, booking appointments and dealing with patients at the desk. The apprenticeship is full time (37 hours 30 minutes per week) on a rota basis between the hours stated in the vacancy.

Pay is advertised between £14,722. 50 and £23,809. 50 depending on age and in line with the National Minimum Wage.

Training and assessment are provided by ACCESS TRAINING (EAST MIDLANDS) LTD and you will study for the Customer Service Practitioner (Level 2) apprenticeship standard, with approximately 20% off-the-job training.

The employer is looking for reliable applicants who can remain calm under pressure and who have good communication and customer service skills. Desirable qualifications include GCSE English and Maths (grade 4-9).

If there is a vacancy at the end of the apprenticeship the employer may offer the successful apprentice a position with the practice.
